Home Insulation Rebate – For Those In The Australian Area

It seems that the citizens in Australia are about to have something wonderful coming to them. Sure, they may not be winning a million dollars, but they will be getting the chance to save a lot of money on electricity. In case you have not heard, the Australian government currently has some plans up their sleeves. Starting on July 1 of 2009, they are going to provide a home insulation rebate to those homes that are eligible. This is a four billion dollar energy efficient home package that will be installing ceiling and roof insulation in those homes that currently do not have enough. It has been estimated that up to 2. 2 million households in Australia will be eligible to receive this package.

First of all, if you live in Australia and you have a home that has little or no insulation in the ceiling or roof, then you may be eligible to get your home insulated by professionals. For a couple of years, the Australians Government will be paying professionals up to 1, 600 dollars to do this job.

Take note that the average household in Australia will only require 1, 200 dollars to get this job done. However, if you have a house that is more than average, then you may go over the limit of 1, 600 dollars (which is as much as the government will pay). If this is the case, then you will be required to pay the remainder.

In order to determine if you qualify, you will need to fill out some paper work. You can get these forums by turning to the Internet.

When we look at the facts, we find that the average household could save anywhere from 200 dollars to seven hundred dollars each year if they get their homes ceiling and roof insulated. During this time of need, the Australian government has decided to give people the relief they have been waiting for.

We are not able to get many things for free in this world, especially something that is this expensive, so you should step up right now and get the ball rolling.

We all know just how hot it gets during those summer months in Australia and the air can escape right out of the roof, which will make it hot in your home.

The full program will start on July 1, 2009, but you as a homeowner will not have to wait. The Australian Government has already let go of the installation guideline so that individuals can gain access to the assistance right away.

If you are a homeowner and you have paid to get insulation installed between February 3 and June 30 of 2009, then you can send the papers in so that you can get reimbursed through the home insulation rebate package. You will need to show the two quotes, receipt to your claim and the tax invoice. Take note that you can either go for the 1, 600 dollar hot water rebate or the 1, 600 dollar insulation rebate, you cannot go for both.

This is out of date. The solar rebate is now $1000 or $600 for heat pumps. The insulation rebate has been scrapped.
